Fushicho Daiko offers innovative, fun, inclusive classes and workshops for Taiko players of all ages, all physical abilities, and all skill levels - Taiko is for EVERYONE!  Come and learn why hitting drums and making music is the best stress reliever there is.  Take a look below to explore and learn more about our various community Taiko classes and groups. ADULT TRY TAIKO
One Time Class, Ages 13 And Up

What: Ever wanted to give Taiko a test run to see if it's something you'd like to pursue further? Come join Eileen Sensei for a single class of interactive, immersive, and immensely fun drumming where you'll learn the basics as well as your first song!
When:  Typically first Saturday of the month, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
Cost:  $20 for the one class

KIDS TRY TAIKO
One Time Class, Ages 5-12

What: This fun and energetic class teaches kids how to channel their focus into learning their very first Taiko song!  They will work together as a team while utilizing their body and brains creatively, making new friends and memories along the way!
When:  Typically first Saturday of the month, 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Cost:  $20 for the one class

INTRODUCTORY ADULTS
Beginner Group

What: Taiko is a fantastically fun way to immerse yourself in loud, energetic group drumming. There's nothing like feeling the power of hitting a Taiko drum!  Taiko is a healthy and positive way to express yourself, release tension and interact joyfully! Every new student starts in this class to learn the dojo’s tunes and the basics of Taiko, such as sticking, kata (form), rhythm, and team cooperation.
When: Saturdays, 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Cost:  $75/month
How do I join?:  Our next set of adult beginner classes will start Saturday, March 2nd 2024, 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Reserve a spot now on our Registration page!

KEMUSHI
Advanced Children's Group

What:  Students receive extensive training in technique, stage presence, and repertoire. This group is very fun and inclusive!
When:  Saturdays, 1:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Cost:  $55/month
How do I join?:  Admission into this group is by Sensei invitation only.

AOZORA
Community Advanced Adult Group

What:  Students who have learned the basics and know the core dojo repertoire are also able to join Aozora. This group generally includes 12-16 members.
When: Thursdays, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Cost:  $75/month
How To Join:  Admission into this group is by Sensei invitation only.

SABOTEN
Community Advanced Adult Group

What:  Students who have learned the basics and know the core dojo repertoire are also able to join Saboten. This group generally includes 12-18 members.
When:  Fridays, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Cost:  $75/month
How To Join:  Admission into this group is by Sensei invitation only.

PHOENIX TAIKO KAI
Community Highly Advanced Adult Group

What:  Phoenix Taiko Kai (PTK) typically includes 9-12 members and provides the members with more input in development and creation of repertoire.
When:  Tuesdays, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Cost:  $75/month
How do I join?:  Admission into this group is by group consensus only.
