For over thirty years our dojo has fostered an inclusive ensemble of Taiko musicians of all ages, sizes, backgrounds, and abilities; we love spreading the joy that is this unique and empowering art form! From Arizona Matsuri to Grand Avenue Festival, to local schools and libraries, to other statewide events and performances, Fushicho Daiko has made it a core mission to embrace and uplift our communities through the gift of song.

It is quite possible that you attended one of our performances and after witnessing the thundering thrill of Taiko drumming you're keen to try it yourself! Or, maybe you have a family member or friend who you know would just love to give Taiko a try! Perhaps you have a young one whose eyes lit up excitedly when they saw our massive drums, captivated as we seemed to dance with our bachi.

If you or someone you know would like to dive into the wonderful world of Taiko, then please use our registration form below. By signing up it allows you to reserve a spot for our next set of classes; we launch new beginner group classes only twice a year - one in the spring and one in the fall - so spots fill fast! By taking this first step, Eileen Morgan Sensei will then reach out to impart further information and answer any questions you might have. Please note that you are under NO obligation by filling out this form - it is for informational and reservation purposes only.

We offer Try Taiko classes towards the beginning of each month on certain Saturdays from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM for adults and from 9 AM to 10 AM for kids! Give Taiko a try! Learn the background and significance of Japanese ensemble drumming and learn your first song! Come join us for a fun, energetic, and dynamic new adventure! All Try Taiko classes are $20 for the single class.

We have also brought back our children's classes for ages 5 - 12. Please use the same form below if you have a youngster (or multiple!) that would benefit from the numerous positive influences of playing music. Not only does Taiko enhance kinetic abilities such as hand-eye coordination, but it teaches teamwork, builds listening and pattern recognition skills, fine tunes both cognitive and muscle memory abilities, and provides exercise in a safe environment - all while having tons of fun!

We look forward to playing with you and welcoming you to the Fushicho Daiko Dojo family!

Please note that our dojo practice space is popular and yet not overly large; we ask that all participants and guests wear secure face masks to ensure everyone’s health and safety.

"I wanted to thank you for such a wonderful class.  To take people who have never done such a thing, to get them to make amazing progress in 90 minutes, and to do it with a great sense of humor (which makes people less nervous) is truly amazing.  That is not at all easy to do, and you made it both very fun and very informative.  Thanks!"
~ Wayne, a first time taiko player for a 'Try Taiko' class
